• Legislative Affairs Committee
  1. Discuss and support the Georgia Chamber Legislative agenda
  2. Sponsor the elected officials BBQ
  3. Advise the Chamber Board and membership of legislative issues and determine official positions when appropriate
  4. Coordinate the membership legislative breakfast
  5. Represent the Chamber at legislative functions
  6. Organize and promote CC Day at the State Capitol
  7. Organize and promote the legislative trip to Washington, DC in '09
  
  
• Use collaborative approaches to "community business" issues
  
  
• Look for opportunities for training, forums, briefings, etc. for legislative issues
  
  
• Encourage good leaders to run for elected positions and consider providing a community orientation program for those interested in public service
  
  
• Support and encourage all "planning and infrastructure" efforts
  
  
• Support the concept of "shared services" between any / all public entities in Carroll County and encourage continued use of the Joint Municipal Services Plan
  
  
• Educate elected officials, community leaders and citizens about economic development and important community issues
