• Create strategies to forge partnerships and working relationships between the business community and the education community
  1.  Support activities such as "job shadow day", etc.
  2.  Implement forum for community leaders, business leaders and educational leaders to meet and dialogue
  3.  Work closely with Partners in Education
  4.  Support initiatives such as career pathways, dual enrollment, etc.
  
• Support and generate teacher / student recognition / appreciation programs and events
  1.  Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) - WCTC
  2.  STAR Student / Teacher program - Carrollton City, Carroll County and Oak Mountain Academy
  3.  Sponsor a teacher recognition / appreciation event(s)
  
  
• Encourage and support the Certified Work Ready Community Process
  
  
• Support activities and programs that focus on educational excellence and attainment, such as:
  -  Carroll County Mentor Program
  -  LIFT
  -  FERST Foundation for Childhood Literacy
  -  Carroll County Educational Foundation
  -  Graduation and Community Coaches
  -  Partnership for Excellence in Education
  -  12 for Life
  -  Education and Career Partnership
